The world can feel chaotic. Life can change in a moment. Relationships can turn on a dime. So much of what makes up an ordinary day is outside of our control, and what we leave behind after we’re gone is subject to the wills and whims of whoever - or whatever! - follows after us.
So… what do we do?
In the book of Ecclesiastes, a “Preacher” passes on the wisdom he’s gleaned from a passing world. While it can feel as if we’re spending our lives chasing the wind, the God who chases after us makes everything matter. Join us as we explore one of the most unique - and more timely! - books in the Old Testament.
Whether you already have a podcasting app or want to use our own Church Center, we’ve made it as easy as we can for you to find our weekly sermons.
Every so often, we’ll record a recap of a class, post audio from a Family Meeting, or capture a roundtable conversation we have about a particular topic.

Some parts of Scripture require more explaining than others. As we journey through the second-half of Exodus, we’re coming up on a few chapters that fall into that category!
In Exodus 21-23, we see a couple of hot-button issues: rules about slavery and laws concerning social justice. In 2021, both of these things deserve a fair and honest treatment - a treatment that better fits into a podcast format than a traditional Sunday sermon. That’s why we’re recording a few episodes to help address the passage-specific and cover-to-cover questions that so many people have about these giant topics.
We hope these episodes help bring clarity to the text before we preach through them - or whenever you happen to be listening!

With a desire to equip the saints for the work of ministry, The Village began hosting monthly Teaching Roundtables for anyone interested in growing as a hearer, teacher, and proclaimer of God’s Word. These gatherings create a regular space centered around a single topic related to preaching and teaching. Here, participants to get to interact with one another and other resources for the sake of both building up the church and being built up as the church.
In these follow-up podcasts, a few folks from The Village will recap and reflect on our roundtable discussions. For those who were able to attend, we hope they serve as a helpful reminder. And for those who weren’t able to participate, we hope these episodes will let you learn and grow along with us!
