Chasing the Wind of Authority
(Ecclesiastes 8:1-9)

Despite life's glitches of injustice and the unknown, we are charged with enjoyment instead of mastering the universe.

In the face of justice served…

  1. …reject the illusion of delay. (1-2)

  2. …anchor yourself to the fear of God. (3-8)

  3. …embrace the joy of limited understanding. (9)

Reflection Questions

  1. Are you using God’s patience as a permission slip to sin, or an invitation to repent?

  2. Do you believe that God is for you in Christ, even when your circumstances look like they are against you?

  3. Will you stop trying to control a world you can’t master, and start enjoying the God you were made for?
