Chasing the Wind of Wisdom
(Ecclesiastes 1:12-18)
The pursuit of human wisdom can discover what's wrong with the world, but has no power to make it right.
The never-ending pursuit. (12-14)
The frustration of limitation. (15)
The more-is-less conundrum. (16-18)
Reflection Questions
Where in your life are you currently "chasing the wind" — trying to find peace by simply gathering more information, control, or understanding?
What is one "crooked" thing in your life (a relationship, a habit, a fear) that you have been trying to fix with human wisdom instead of bringing to Jesus?
How does knowing that Jesus has already "finished the work" (straightened the crooked on the Cross) free you from the burden of having to fix yourself this week?
