Goodbye, Realm. Hello, Church Center!
Hey church!
If you haven't heard yet, we're making a big move to a new thing in 2024: Church Center!
Realm, GroupMe, Google Forms, etc. - we'll be setting aside all of those by the end of this month, and everything will funnel through Planning Center's all-in-one service, Church Center. And by everything, we mean everything:
Group & serve team chats
Online forms of any kind
K-Ville check-in
Online giving
Calendars & events
Volunteer scheduling
Directory
...everything!
And the best part is that it all runs through one mobile app. One thing to download. One account to manage. One spot for all you need. (And for those who like to sit be in front of a computer, there's also a web-version: myvillagechurch.churchcenter.com.)
When is all that happening? Now! Giving, kids check-in, forms on the website - it's all live over on Church Center. What do you need to do? Before Realm, GroupMe, etc. go dark on February 1st, make sure you:
Download the app! (iOS + Android) It'll ask you to connect to a church. Just find The Village, verify who you are, and you'll be in!
Update your profile and settings. If you're already scheduled as a volunteer for Planning Center Services, some of your information will already be there!
Add people to your household, if applicable. Use this form to add any spouses or kids. This will come in handy for seeing serving schedules of other folks in your family, checking children into K-Ville, etc.
Put in your giving information. None of that will be transferred over from Realm, so be sure to add it in Church Center. (It's super easy.)
If you want to hear us unpack it a little more, you can watch me blitz through some things at the end of Sunday’s gathering and/or flip through some slides we put together. We'll also highlight key features (groups, kids check-in, giving, scheduling, etc.) over the coming weeks. In the meantime, hop in, poke around, and get acquainted!
We've been hard at work for months to make sure this was a WIN all across the board for members, leaders, and guests of The Village. Thanks to all our group and team leaders who have been dabbling in it since December! Starting fresh in 2024 came with some extra craziness at the end of 2023. We appreciate you!
Big changes always bring hiccups, so don't hesitate to hit us up with questions and things we may have missed. That said, we've done our best to make it as smooth of a transition as possible. We're confident that once Church Center has become our "new normal," we'll all be glad we made the change!
