Two Gatherings Starting Next Month!
Big Change Ahead: Two Gatherings Starting Next Month!
At The Village Church, we believe growth isn’t just about numbers — it’s about faithfulness, generosity, and making more room for the gospel. So beginning November 30th, 2025, we’ll be moving from one Sunday gathering to two: 9:00AM and 10:45AM.
This isn’t a gimmick or a “growth hack” — it’s a gracious, responsive step. We want to make space for what God is doing, not crowd or limit it.
Why Two Gatherings?
God has been growing us.
Over time, what seemed manageable with one service is now stretching us. Two gatherings allow us to steward that growth well — making space for new faces while preserving what makes us “us.”It complements, not replaces, church planting.
We remain passionately committed to planting new churches. But planting isn’t a quick fix for attendance; it’s a calling. In fact, having more capacity here strengthens our ability to raise, send, and support future plants. We’ll be better prepared.
More gatherings mean more flexibility — for people, for mission, for investment. We believe this move positions us to serve our city and plant well.
Why Advent?
We chose Advent because it gives us lead time — months to plan, adapt, and prepare. Waiting too long only magnifies stress and chaos. Based on our recent attendance trends, it’s wise to step while we still have margin.
Plus, by the time Christmas and Easter roll around, we’ll already be in the new rhythm — better equipped to handle the busiest Sundays of the year.
What This Means for Serving
Yes, adding a second gathering requires more work. But our commitment remains: to care for our volunteers, protect worship, and guard rest.
Serve teams will have flexibility in how they adapt.
Expect growing pains. Mistakes will happen. Be patient, gracious, and helpful.
Don’t hoard the burden. Step up where needed — invite, train, link, and support.
Kids & Students
K-Ville (kids ministry) will be offered during both gatherings.
Benefits include smaller class sizes and less crowding.
Will This Change “Us”?
Absolutely — in some ways. People won’t always be in the same room on Sunday mornings. But here’s what’s not changing:
We remain one church. Two gatherings ≠ two churches.
Our identity, mission, and values stay the same.
You remain essential. Your gifts, your presence, your story — they matter.
Growth doesn’t mean you’re less needed. If anything, the harvest is increasing, and we need more laborers, more hearts, more lives given.
In this season, God may be doing deeper work in us: testing idols, stirring courage, inviting trust. Let’s lean into the change together.
