Serving with The Village
Because Jesus laid his life down for us, we want to do the same for others. Whether it's the church, friends and family, or complete strangers, we're called to lead in love by being servants. That's why serving - sacrificing time, spending talent, being uncomfortable, working hard, and loving others with our whole lives - is so important.

What Does Serving with The Village Look Like?
The point of service isn't to cross it off of a list or begrudgingly fulfill some obligation. The point of service is worship. Service is worship. Whether it's helping someone with their groceries, hammering a nail, cleaning a park, hosting an event, delivering meals, or doing the laundry at home, every act of service is an act of worship. It's worship because our motivation to love others should be an overflow of our love for God, and it's worship because it points other people to the overflowing love that God has for us.
We want people to worship by serving as individuals and families, Community Groups, and together as the whole church body. If you want to know how you can serve on your own, check out the available opportunities to serve within the church. If you're plugged into a Community Group, you will be serving a minimum of 5 or 6 times a year in whatever way your group would like based on your unique giftings, interests, connections, etc. When opportunities arise, The Village as a whole will partake in efforts to serve our community in full force.
