REVIEW the agenda from the STL: Fall Connect. (meeting agenda / slides)
How are you fighting maintenance mode in your leadership?
EXTEND in Hospitality.
☆☆☆ Consider at least one way your team can grow in hospitality.
Give voice to your team to invite them into the creative process.
Share your plan with Michael / Matt, along with what you need to help carry it out, and when / how you’re going to implement.
Clean up your processes - how can you use the onboarding page?
Review the page.
Consider creating your own page, specific to your team, to link all of the “front end info" all in one easy-to-share place as a starting point for any new team member.
You can even make a short welcome video to help setup the tone and context.
11.05.23 — Fall Huddle Recap. (agenda)
This huddle was the… one where we talked about fighting maintenance mode, challenged ourselves to grow in hospitality, and were encouraged to make sure we are being aware and engaging the people who make up our teams by giving them a voice, carrying for them beyond a schedule slot, etc.
10.30.22 — Fall Huddle Recap. (agenda)
We spent the majority of time talking through the Discipleship Pathway stuff that we rolled out at the recent Family Meeting. If you haven’t listened to that meeting, and read over the document, you need to do that.
7.17.22 — Summer Huddle Recap. (agenda)
TAKEAWAYS:
1) Summer attendance rhythms can be difficult. -- Because many of the committed folks are traveling (etc), it may require some creativity to continue carrying out your team's function. A few ideas:
Reduce to bear minimum team needs (if possible).
Recruit a "summer only" team that can jump in short term.
Communicate needs, invite your team to help recruit, and do the best you can.
2) Scheduling & Planning Center Services. -- If you lead a Sunday team, please use Planning Center to schedule. This will help cut off double bookings, and send out appropriate reminders to those serving. If you need a tutorial / refresher, hit up Kim Graham & Katy Debbink; they'll make time to show you the ropes.
3) Onboarding. -- myvillagechurch.com/onboarding is a useful tool to point new folks to as a First Step for joining your team. It's designed to point people to any "front end" info that might be helpful before / as they get rolling on your team. If you have additional info, policy / procedure, or team info, please shoot that to Kieh and she can put your "team specific stuff on the page.
// ACTION REQUIRED: What is ONE THING that you’re hoping to MOVE FORWARD in your team / area of oversight in the next 3 months / 12 months? (a new rhythm, policy & procedures, inviting someone to take on a new role…) >> Shoot Michael a message (by the end of July) with what you're hoping to move forward and your plant to see it through.
(Make note of the tabs at the bottom to change years!)
