For many Christians, the ministry of the Holy Spirit is shrouded in mystery. Who is He? What does He do? How would we know? Some of us attempt to answer those questions - and we do so from a variety of personal experiences, diverse schools of thought, and different ways of interpreting the Scriptures.

But the bible should bring us clarity. “Now concerning spiritual gifts,” Paul writes to the Corinthians, "I do not want you to be uninformed.” He then spends the next few chapters helping the church understand how the Spirit helps us worship Jesus, become like Jesus, and enjoy a unity that comes from Jesus.

Over the course of four weeks, we’ll let 1 Corinthians 12-14 bring that kind of clarity to The Village. Through Life in the Spirit, we hope to grow in the knowledge and understanding we need to wisely demonstrate our trust in God and the gifts he gives to his local church.
