Chasing the Wind of Inversion
(Ecclesiastes 10:5-20)

In a world turned upside down, God’s wisdom provides the edge we need to work skillfully, speak graciously, and trust the True King.

When life feels upside-down…

  1. …there is chaos in inverted leadership. (5-7)

  2. …there is danger in dilligent work. (8-11)

  3. …there is destruction in wild words. (12-15)

  4. …there is blessing in the quiet order of work and wisdom. (16-20)

Reflection Questions

  1. Where are you trying to "out-muscle" a situation with a blunt ax rather than stopping to seek God’s wisdom?

  2. How have your words this week served as a "truth serum" for the state of your heart?

  3. In what area of your life – relationships, work, life maintenance – have you allowed the "slow rot" of neglect to set in?

  4. How does knowing that the True Prince "walked" so you could "ride" change your perspective on your current "lowly place"?
