Chasing the Wind of Vanity
(Ecclesiastes 1:1-11)

Everything is vapor unless we build upon the everlasting.

When everything is vapor…

  1. …the gain never comes. (1-7)

  2. …the striving never ceases. (8-10)

  3. …the generations never remember. (11)

Reflection Questions

  1. What specific "vapor" have you been chasing, hoping it would finally provide a lasting profit for your soul?

  2. Where do you feel the deepest weariness from the "hamsterwheel" of life, and what would it look like to truly rest in Christ’s finished work there?

  3. Are you anxious about being forgotten by the world, or is it enough for you to be fully known and remembered by God?
