Jesus, the Risen Temple

John 2:13-25

Jesus cleanses the temple to restore it back to its intended purpose.

  1. The Temple is for WORSHIP. (Jn. 2:13-17)

  2. The Temple is TEMPORARY. (Jn. 2:18-22)

  3. The Temple is YOU. (Jn. 2:23-25)

 
 

Reflect, Repent & Respond

  • How have you misused the created things, to rob the glory of the creator of all things?

  • If Jesus is the true & better temple, and the one who cleanses & restores all things back for the purpose of worshiping God, what does his life mean for any who long to draw near to God?

  • If Jesus has bridged the gap between God & man, how might your life, as the temple of God, be changed by Christ’s cleansing work?
